Tripwire by Zubias Tripwire by Zubias
Just a generic picture of my OC. I Finally got around deciding what color Tripwire would be. I tried a couple of more colorful versions but they ended up looking pretty corny, and I like using earthly colors and blue so I went with this.

Her right front leg is messed up. Otherwise I`m pretty happy with this.

Edit: Forgot to meantion that I have also finally decided what her cutie mark is. The armor has been covering it in all the pictures Iwe drawn. Its a piece of string tried to a Grenade pin :P

This is truly fantastic! I'm guessing that the colour is some sort of pastel-work? Anyway, I love the hand-colouring of this, it adds that 'improvised' wasteland look. Definetly going in favourites folder!

Glad you like it! :) I colored this with Dervent Studio Colour Pencils and some black colour pencil used on shading and borders. I have no idea what it is anymore because it is basically only a glorified stump now... :D Gotta pick up a couple of new ones soon.

That's always bugged me, colouring pencils. I've used them when I was 7, drawing jedi knights and Star Wars stuff but that's it. Obviously they weren't exactly mona lisas but even now I can't get my head around them. What's you approach to using them?

I tend to start with light coloring and adding darker layers on top of them. Those Dervent ones work pretty well that way. Every time I`we tried anything water solluble I end up making a huge mess :D.

Looks good! I really like the armour as well as the colour and style of her hair.

The asymmetry is what stands out to me. All too commonly we subscribe to designs that feel utterly symmetric, which unfortunately is a rather missed oppurtunity to creating that "Wasteland born custom design" look. Good stuff.

Thanks. I`we always had a thing for the asymmetrical/scavenged armor look, it just seems more interesting than a set uniform look. :)

she looks good, her armour blends with her colour so if someone wasn't pay much attention when attacking her they might use things that can't penetrate her armour. good work

Thanks :) I might use a bit lighter brown for her coat in the future, or change her armor a bit. But those earthly tones fit pretty well for a hunter type who spends a lot time out in the wastes. I might have to design her a hat of some sort, that blue mane kinda stands out :D
